Jennifer Sampson

Jennifer Sampson, LCSW-R is a New York state Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering therapy services to individuals and families. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Sociology. She continued her education to earn her MSW from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Jennifer has over 16 years of experience providing mental health treatment for children, adolescents and their families. Jennifer began her career employed with the Lake County, IL Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Program. Additionally, Jennifer spent two years running a program in Urbana, IL for women at risk or experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety. In 2011 Jennifer relocated with her family to Niskayuna NY and has been employed for the last 5 years as a Clinician at Vanderheyden, Inc. working specifically with an adolescent population. Jennifer utilizes an eclectic client centered approach to treat the unique needs of each person. Areas of expertise include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Family Therapy. Jennifer has a long history of treating issues stemming from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Depression to include Postpartum Depression.
