The board-certified nurse practitioners at Center for Solutions specialize in a variety of treatments designed to help clients live a better life — including mental health and psychiatric assessments.

We believe brain health has a deep-rooted impact on the overall health and wellbeing of our bodies. If the brain is suffering for any reason, all areas of our life may also suffer.

What is a Mental Health & Psychiatric Assessment?

Our assessments work to evaluate and treat any potential suffering or strife impacting the brain — and therefore the overall health and wellbeing of our clients.

Conditions Treated by Mental Health & Psychiatric Assessments

The purpose of a psychiatric assessment is to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental conditions or disorders. Clients suffering from issues such as anxiety, depression, mood swings, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger management, may see a positive impact from psychiatric treatment.

How Does a Mental Health & Psychiatric Assessment Work?

This comprehensive, initial evaluation is provided by a board-certified nurse practitioner. It will explore your reason for seeking treatment, current symptoms and concerns, any past treatment, and family history. Current health, and nutritional status will also be explored in order to provide personalized care.

Clients can anticipate spending an hour at the initial visit. Upon completion of the assessment, the nurse practitioner will provide a psychiatric diagnosis and explore treatment options. Treatment may include medications, dietary supplements, laboratory testing, alternative therapies, additional counseling, or referrals for other specialized services.

At the end of this appointment, a mutually agreed upon treatment plan will be decided, and follow-up appointments will be scheduled.  To learn how an assessment and treatment can help alleviate symptoms associated with a variety of emotional, behavioral, or developmental conditions, and how it can help you, contact our nurse practitioners today.
